On Wednesday, November 1st, Mr. Franz Harmer, Chief Strategy Officer at Topflight Apps and Mr. Vasilis Zoupas, CEO of WOLI Fintech, met with ACS Athens OPEN participants to discuss “Research and Customer Development” during one of the program’s specially-curated mentor sessions.

During the session, Mr. Harmer and Mr. Zoupas shared insights about what empowers start ups to grow, how to attract users and what sets well-developed startups from the rest.

When discussing the unique role of startups, students were reminded that:

• The role of the entrepreneur is to find out what people are missing from their daily routines and find ways to fill the gap.
• Entrepreneurs must ask insightful questions to filter out biases to get to the heart of the solution.
• Entrepreneurs (and start ups by extension) are uniquely qualified to shake things up and disrupt the system to bring forth solutions. These are opportunities to make important changes and advancements!
