Competitive Excellence
Launched in 2017, these programs are designed for talented children and young adults pursuing competitive tennis.
- Athlete Development Program: Focuses on mastering tennis techniques and application in different situations.
- High-Performance Program: Emphasizes tactical, psychological, and physical aspects essential for success in modern tennis. This includes on-court drills, video analysis, and strategic training.
Both programs cover key areas of competition preparation—before, during, and after matches—including tournament planning, stress management, resilience, and post-match analysis. Athletes receive training in footwork, coordination, and fitness, with sessions tailored to their age and goals.
Additionally, Saturday swimming sessions with a professional coach, in collaboration with ACS Athens’ indoor pool, provide injury prevention and full-body conditioning.
Skill Development
At the ACS Athens Tennis Academy (Center??), we utilize extensive training equipment to enhance the skill development of our members. Our facilities include:
- Warm-Up and Conditioning Tools: Essential for preparing athletes for training sessions.
- Coordination and In-Training Features: Designed to improve agility and technique.
- Video Analysis Devices: Help players review their performance and make adjustments.
- Ball Machines: Provide repetitive practice for improved accuracy and consistency.
We offer a variety of tennis balls—red, orange, green, and standard—as well as mini nets, tailored to the age and skill level of each participant, ensuring an effective and engaging learning experience.
Schedule
Rain or Shine, Tennis Every Day!
At the ACS Athens Tennis Academy (Center??), we ensure daily sessions for children, no matter the weather. On rainy days, alternative indoor activities keep the training going, including mini-tennis, video analysis, and tennis-specific conditioning, coordination, and footwork exercises.
Each 60-minute session is tailored to the participant’s age, skill level, and goals, typically incorporating a mix of technical and tactical exercises.
Our coaching team, led by the Head Coach, develops personalized training plans based on short-, mid-, and long-term goals, ensuring optimal skill development for every player.
