Sewing for Purpose Program

About this Program

The Sewing for Purpose Club is not just about learning how to sew; it’s a mission-driven community where students use their creativity to address real-world challenges. Every two years, the club takes on a new cause, as this year we continue to focus on alleviating stress and anxiety.

By integrating technology with textiles, club members design and create items specifically aimed at promoting relaxation and mental well-being. Projects include crafting weighted blankets for their calming effects, soothing scented sachets, huggable pillows, and other tools to help reduce stress. Each item is thoughtfully designed to foster a more comforting environment and support mental health. The Sewing for Purpose Club empowers students to make a meaningful impact through their sewing skills and creativity. Join us in crafting for a purpose!
