The Aerial Drone Competition empowers students to explore the future of technology through flight. Drones aren’t just toys, they’re transforming industries like emergency response, environmental monitoring, filmmaking, agriculture, and logistics. By learning how to code, pilot, and problem-solve with drones, students step into the world of innovation that’s shaping tomorrow.

Objectives

Students will:

• Experience cutting-edge tech that is already used by engineers, scientists, and first responders.
• Develop career-ready skills in coding, engineering, teamwork, and critical thinking.
• See real-world impact by connecting real-world challenges like disaster relief, sustainability, and smart cities.
• Be inspired for the future through hands-on projects that spark creativity and confidence.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites to join:

• Current ACS Athens High School Student;
• Aspiring Innovators, Entrepreneurs, STEM scientists, Sustainability advocates;
• No previous experience required;
• Must attend weekly team meetings (excluding school holidays); Up to 5 absences allowed;
• Parental Consent and Release Form signed with fee.
