Aristotle Panayiotopoulos
Aristotle Panayiotopoulos is a father, a husband, and a physician in the area of pediatric endocrinology. He has dedicated his career to providing proper care to the pediatric population and educating young doctors as an Assistant Professor.
He graduated from ACS in 1998 after a 12 year journey from grades 1-12 in the institution. He then went on to UMASS Amherst for his undergraduate training, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on Pre-Med. He obtained a Medical Degree from Ross University in 2008.
Aristotle Panayiotopoulos completed his residency and fellowship in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology, respectively, in New York, USA. He is dual board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.
In the US, he worked as an Attending in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Northwell Health. In 2014, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, first at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and then at the Zucker School of Medicine in 2016.
During his tenure in the US, he established and directed the Gender Developmental Disorders Clinic at Children’s Hospital in Montefiore. He was an active member in the academic training programs for medical students, residents and fellows. He has contributed in research studies in the areas of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology and counts numerous publications in international journals and presentations in international conferences. He is an active member of the Endocrine Society and the European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology.
He returned to Greece with his family in 2022 and is currently the Director of Pediatric Lipid Disorders at Athens Medical Center and has his Pediatric Endocrinology practice in Kifisia.
