Sandra Zafirakopoulou

Sandra has had the privilege and honor to coordinate the Make-A-Wish Greece team for the last 10 years. She prefers to be called a “fairy facilitator” rather than CEO/General manager. With a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Athens University, a Master’s of Science in European Social Policy from the London School of Economics and a Diploma in Communications and PR from the London Chamber of Industry and Commerce, she was focused in managerial marketing and communications positions till she turned 40. Then, she decided to change her life and devote herself to a cause. She believes herself to be very lucky to have crossed roads with Make-A-Wish as not only its purpose, but its governance bylaws are to be admired. Sandra believes that learning to manage a business is very similar to the effort of managing each one’s life. People are key to this effort! Her life quote is “Where there a… Wish there is a Way”. During her presence, Make-A-Wish Greece has granted two thirds of the total number of wishes since its foundation, increasing its workforce by four times and being awarded annually by the international community for its team effort and perseverance.
