Demo Day 2026 Showcases Student Innovation and Marks the Launch of the LEO Odyssey Program

Jun 22, 2026 | News

Innovation, creativity, and purpose took center stage at ACS Athens as students in the ACS Athens Open Program presented their ideas during Demo Day 2026. The annual showcase celebrated a year of exploration, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking, highlighting student-led solutions designed to address real-world challenges and create meaningful impact within their communities.

This year’s event also marked a significant milestone with the official launch of the LEO Odyssey Program, made possible through a new partnership between ACS Athens and the LEO Foundation. The collaboration was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a shared commitment to developing future leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.

Inspired by the legacy of Leonidas (LEO) Vagias, the LEO Foundation is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for high school students through leadership, entrepreneurship, and opportunity–the values at the heart of its mission. Representing the Foundation at the event was Ms. Alexandra Vagias, Leo’s younger sister, whose passion for leadership, innovation, and creating positive impact reflects the vision that continues to guide the Foundation’s work.

Mr. James Ebert, President of the Leonidas Foundation, shared remarks on the significance of the new partnership and the opportunities it will create for students through the LEO Odyssey Program.
Through this new partnership, ACS Athens Open students will have the opportunity to earn scholarships to participate in the LEO Odyssey Program in Washington, D.C. The program will provide immersive experiences in leadership development, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and personal growth, expanding students’ horizons and equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Demo Day 2026 was more than a celebration of student achievement–it was a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when innovation meets opportunity.
