Our EmpowerEd Parents program brings parents together to explore practical tools for fostering cooperation, connection, and balance at home.
On January 31st and February 21st, parents came together for two impactful sessions focused on navigating modern parenting challenges with Positive Discipline strategies. The first, Screens and Sanity: Positive Discipline Tools for Balance and Connection, addressed the struggle of screen time, offering practical ways to set respectful boundaries while fostering connection. Parents gained tools to implement screen time limits without power struggles and promote cooperation at home.
The second session, No More Yelling: Secrets to Winning Your Child’s Cooperation, tackled one of the toughest challenges, getting kids to listen without resorting to raised voices. Parents learned how to replace yelling with firm yet kind discipline, strengthen connection, and nurture responsibility in their children.
A key takeaway from both sessions was the power of The Golden Triangle, the key approach at ACS Athens that unites parents, teachers, and students to create a consistent, supportive environment for children to thrive.
But this is just the beginning, there is much more to come as we continue to explore Positive Discipline strategies in greater depth both within classrooms and with our parents through masterclasses.
We invite all parents of children ages 4-11 to join us for the next upcoming Parenting the Positive Discipline Way Masterclass, starting May 9th, 2025, where we will dive deeper into these concepts and provide hands-on strategies to build a more peaceful, connected family life.
Stay tuned for more opportunities to engage, learn, and grow together!
